Would you like to get acquainted with thermography, discover what a thermal imaging camera can do for your work, or learn how to take accurate measurements? Then our one-day Introductory Thermography Training is the perfect place to start. This training is held monthly at our training center in Drunen and is based on the guidelines of NEN-ISO 18436, the international standard for training thermographers.
The training combines clear explanations, practical examples and hands-on exercises, so that you immediately learn how to correctly create, analyze and apply thermal images in your own field.

This one-day introductory thermography training course is a compact summary of the full five-day ITC Level 1 course. While the ITC Level 1 course delves deeply into theory, standards, and exam requirements, this introductory course focuses on the essential fundamentals that every thermographer must master before conducting independent inspections.
You will learn the fundamental topics of ITC Level 1 in a practical, accessible and accelerated format, so that you can:

You can better determine which camera and software are suitable for your application
After this introductory day, you can progress to the ITC Level 1 or our own Level 1 training course with greater focus and confidence.
After this day, you'll have a solid foundation for working responsibly with a thermal imaging camera. You'll learn, among other things:
How infrared radiation works and how thermal imaging cameras make it visible
What emissivity, reflection and transmission mean and how to set them
How measuring and interpreting these factors influences

How to set up your camera correctly for reliable results
How to take thermal images in different situations
How to prepare for a thermographic inspection
What to look out for to avoid common mistakes
How to analyze images using software
What is mandatory or desirable in a good report
Introduction of relevant standards, including NEN-ISO 18436

Perform simple inspections independently
Recognizing common abnormalities
Choosing the right camera settings
Analyzing images with software
