Discover thermography during our one-day introductory in-company training. With 15 years of experience and over 2,000 trained students, we offer practical knowledge for anyone who wants to work with thermography. Read more.
Want to introduce your team to thermography, learn what a thermal imaging camera can do for your organization, or ensure employees can take reliable measurements? Then the Incompany Introductory Thermography Training is the ideal choice.
This one-day, practical training course is delivered at your location, fully tailored to your specific needs, installations, and the participants' knowledge level. The course is based on the guidelines of NEN-ISO 18436, the international standard for thermography training.
The training combines clear explanations, practical examples, and hands-on exercises using your own equipment or training materials provided by us. This allows your team to immediately learn how to correctly capture, analyze, and apply thermal images within your own field.
This in-company introductory training course is a compact and accessible summary of the full 4- or 5-day ITC Level 1 course. While Level 1 delves deeply into theory, standards, and exam requirements, this introductory day focuses on the essential fundamentals that every thermographer must master.
Your employees will learn the same fundamental topics as in Level 1 — but in a practical and accelerated format — so they can:
can discover whether thermography fits within your organization or specific activities
lay a solid foundation before a full Level 1 training
understand how thermal imaging cameras work and how to perform correct measurements
better determine which cameras, lenses or software are suitable for your applications
After this day, your team can work more focused, safely, and with more expertise, or progress to ITC Level 1 or our own Level 1 training.
After this training, participants will have a solid foundation for working responsibly and accurately with a thermal imaging camera. They will learn, among other things:
How infrared radiation works and how thermal imaging cameras make it visible
What emissivity, reflectivity and transmittance mean and how to set them correctly
How these factors influence measurement results
Which type of camera is suitable for different organizational processes
How to set up the camera correctly for reliable results
How thermal images are created in various practical situations
How to prepare for a thermographic inspection
What to look out for to avoid common mistakes
How images are analyzed with software
What is mandatory or desirable in a good report
Introduction of relevant standards, including NEN-ISO 18436
When a certified thermographer is required
When a full Level 1 training is required
Thermography seems simple, but accurate measurement and interpretation requires the right knowledge, settings, and conditions. This in-house training will help you prevent errors and create a strong, consistent foundation within your team.
After this day, participants will be able to:
perform reliable thermographic measurements
perform simple inspections independently
recognize common abnormalities
choosing the right camera settings
analyze images with software
assess whether thermography offers added value within your processes
estimate when a Level 1 training is necessary
This training is suitable for teams that:
working with thermal imaging cameras or will be doing so soon
want to learn how to use their camera optimally
still have to determine which camera best suits their work
already use thermography but want to deepen their knowledge
want to integrate thermography into inspections, maintenance, safety or quality control
want to orientate yourself towards a future Level 1 training course
No prior training is required. Anyone can participate.
