Discover thermography during our 1-day in-company introductory training. With 15 years of experience and over 2,000 trained participants, we offer practical knowledge for anyone who wants to work with thermography. Read more.
Would you like to introduce your team to thermography, learn what a thermal imaging camera can mean for your organization, or ensure that employees can perform reliable measurements? Then the In-company Thermography Introduction Training is the ideal choice.
This one-day practical training is delivered at your location, fully tailored to your operations, installations, and the knowledge level of the participants. The training is based on the guidelines of NEN-ISO 18436, the international standard for thermography training.
The training combines clear explanations, practical examples, and hands-on exercises using your own equipment or training materials brought by us. As a result, your team learns immediately how thermal images are correctly created, analyzed, and applied within your own field of work.
This in-company introductory training is a compact and accessible summary of the full official 4 or 5-day ITC Level 1 course. While Level 1 delves deeply into theory, standards, and exam requirements, this introductory day focuses on the essential basic principles that every thermographer must master.
Your employees learn the same fundamental topics as in Level 1, but in a practical and accelerated format so that they:
can discover whether thermography fits within your organization or specific activities
laying a solid foundation prior to a full Level 1 training
understand how thermal imaging cameras work and how correct measurements are performed
be able to better determine which cameras, lenses, or software are suitable for your applications
After this day, your team can get to work in a more focused, safer, and knowledgeable way, or progress to the ITC Level 1 training.
After this training, participants will have a solid foundation to work responsibly and accurately with a thermal imaging camera. They will learn, among other things:
How infrared radiation works and how thermal imaging cameras make this visible
What emissivity, reflection, and transmission mean and how to set them correctly
How these factors influence measurement results
Which type of camera is suitable for different organizational processes
How to set up the camera correctly for reliable results
How thermal images are produced in various practical situations
How a thermographic inspection is prepared
What to look out for to avoid common mistakes
How images are analyzed with software
What is mandatory or desirable in a good report
Introduction of relevant standards, including NEN-ISO 18436
When a certified thermographer is required
When a full Level 1 training is required
Thermography seems simple, but correct measurement and interpretation require the right knowledge, settings, and conditions. With this in-company training, you prevent errors and create a strong, uniform foundation within your team.
After this day, participants will be able to:
perform reliable thermographic measurements
perform simple inspections independently
recognizing common abnormalities
choosing the right camera settings
analyzing images with software
assess whether thermography offers added value within your processes
assess when a Level 1 training is necessary
This training is suitable for teams that:
working with thermal imaging cameras or planning to do so soon
want to learn how they can use their camera optimally
still need to determine which camera best suits their work
already applying thermography but want to deepen their knowledge
wanting to integrate thermography into inspections, maintenance, safety, or quality control
want to explore future Level 1 courses
No prior education is required. Everyone can participate.
Our introductory thermography training has been provided for over ten years by our Level 3 thermographer, a specialist with extensive practical experience. Over the past 15 years, our instructor has gained knowledge within diverse sectors, including the fire service, industry, construction and installation technology, electrical inspections, drone thermography, energy management, and various other thermographic applications.
Thanks to this versatile background, you receive not only theoretical knowledge but, above all, practical insights that are directly applicable in your own field of work.
Sensor Partners has been providing thermography training for over 15 years and has trained more than 2,000 students during that time. We deliberately work with small groups to ensure sufficient personal attention and allow you to practice extensively with your own thermal imaging camera or with a camera provided by us.
